Opinions

 My group, Recount Writer and I were learning about opinions using optical illusion images.

First, I talked about my opinion in the first picture about the optical illusion. We saw which animal it was. There were two animals in the picture.

Next, I talked about my opinion again but in the second picture with a different optical illusion image there are many legs on the picture. There was a hidden leg that I was tricked.

Lastly, I talk about my opinion an this is my optical illusion. There are many animals that you can not even know about. It was hard to find all of the animals in the optical illusion.

I learned a lot about it because It makes me trick myself.

How to Write a Compound Sentence

Compound sentences are two simple sentences stuck togather.

A compound sentence uses one simple sentence, one comma, one fanboy, and one simple sentence.

The men are running fast, and jumping over the hurdles.

Those were the steps to write a compound sentence.

Water Safety

My group A and I went to safety swimming practice.

First, we learned how to get in the water safely. My hands had to be on top of the wall in the pool and turn my body so I could get in the water safely. I finished the lesson and moved on to the next one.

Next, we did a back scull. I have to put our feet on top and head had to be looking in the front. We finished the back scull and later we have done the front scull.

Lastly, we did the front scull. I had to use my hand to swim in and out but close to my hand so that the rock would not hit me. I finished the water safety practice.

I enjoyed it because it taught me how to swim safely in the water.

Addition and Subtraction

 Addition and Subtraction can be solved by using strategies: counting on/back rounding and compesating.

Counting on is adding forward using fingers when the added is under ten. Counting is subtracting using fingers when the subtracted is under ten.

Rounding and compesating is rounding is added or subtracted number to the nearest tidy number, then compesating for rounding. Compesating is done by splitting the new number into the old number and leftover

Countingon/back and rounding and compesating are easy stragegies to use for addition and subtration,when get too big to be solved with basic facts.

Maori

Today we revised maori words doing a test and a memory game.

First we have to guess the maori question for example kei hea? Where is?

Next we play some memory games where I had to find the same object on the cards for example pene/pen and taupoki/pie.

Last we have a test and guessing the maori question and english question too.

I like this learning becasue it is teaching me how to speak maori.
